Perform preventative and repair maintenance work to ensure hotel is maintained according to established quality and sustainability standards while treating guests in a warm and welcoming manner.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor at all times.
Must communicate respectfully and effectively with all hotel guests, employees and vendors.
Performs general and minor repairs.
Have reliable knowledge, supported by accurate maps, of all utility routing and cut-offs including water, gas, sewer, electrical, telephone and TV cable.
Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs.
Clean and work with the pool.
Ensure the Fitness Center equipment is in working order.
Verify that all exterior and interior lights are working properly.
Report & fixes any safety hazards throughout the hotel.
Daily property and parking lot walks and note items in need of attention and pick up any visible trash.
Assists in administration of an on-going preventive maintenance program for equipment and guest rooms.
Performs elementary painting and repairing of walls, furniture, cabinets, and windows, doors locks, and keys.
Clean and/or replace HVAC filters.
Performs minor electrical and mechanical repairs.
Performs minor repairs on fans and air conditioners.
Performs routine plumbing repairs (leaking faucet, repairing a sink drain).
Check functionality of safety systems.
Ensure quality standards and health and safety regulations are followed.
Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards.
Keep storage areas tidy.
Assists in responding to all guest and staff needs.
Other duties as assigned.
Position Experience and Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience required.
Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred.
Valid Driver's License.
Must be able to sit, stand, bend, squat, reach, climb and walk, for extended periods of time.
Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift 100 pounds.

This hotel operates seven (7) days a week and twenty- four (24) hours per day.
All employees both management and hourly must realize this fact and be willing to hold a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
